Diagnostic ultrasounds are performed by a dual-registered Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Most diagnostic ultrasound exams are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist and include a written report.

Diagnostic ultrasounds are performed by a dual-registered Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Diagnostic ultrasound images are then reviewed by a board-certified radiologist, and a written report is provided.
Exceptions: IVF monitoring is not sent to a radiologist. NIPT is a laboratory blood screening test and is not read by a radiologist.

Ultrasound staff performs the technical imaging portion of diagnostic examinations and does not independently diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment, or provide medical advice.
Diagnostic ultrasound studies are submitted to a board-certified radiologist for professional interpretation and include a written radiology report, except for services specifically identified otherwise, such as IVF monitoring.
NIPT is a prenatal screening blood test performed through a laboratory and is not a diagnostic test. NIPT results should be reviewed with an appropriate prenatal healthcare provider.
IVF monitoring ultrasound is used to collect images and measurements for the patient's fertility clinic. IVF scans are not submitted to a radiologist, and IVF treatment decisions must be made by the patient's fertility physician or clinic.
Patients are responsible for establishing care with an appropriate healthcare provider to review diagnostic results, provide a diagnosis, discuss treatment, and arrange recommended follow-up care.
